Our Impact

📘 Curriculum Standardization – A National Milestone

In 2013, we were officially contracted by the Federal Ministry of Education to create the Standard Physical Curriculum Plan for Nigeria’s TVET sector.

This was not a building blueprint — it was the blueprint for TVET curriculum structure, academic focus, and instructional delivery across all new and existing technical colleges.

🔎 Key Features:
  • A unified framework for vocational training across the country
  • Skill-specific modular pathways for over 20 vocational fields
  • Integration of entrepreneurship and soft skills
  • Emphasis on digital literacy and practical-based learning
  • Alignment with Nigerian Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) standards
  • Designed for replicability across the 774 local government areas

✅ Impact:
  • Ensured that all new Federal Technical Colleges operate with a standardized, globally relevant curriculum
  • Created a pathway for industrial partnerships and internship placements
  • Positioned Nigerian TVET institutions to receive international funding and recognition
  • Influenced private sector adoption of best practices in vocational education

🏫 FSTC Transformation Project – With World Bank & Ministry of Education

In partnership with the World Bank and Federal Ministry of Education, we led the establishment and activation of fully equipped workshops in Federal Science and Technical Colleges (FSTCs).

Our first project, FSTC Usi-Ekiti, became a national reference point — the first of its kind to operate as a functional production unit.

🔩 Highlights:
  • Full welding and fabrication unit
  • Mechatronics training section
  • Tailoring, carpentry, and electrical engineering labs
  • Safety-first design and digital attendance tracking
  • Maintenance plans built into training structure

🤝 Technology Partnership with FESTO, Germany

Our equipment partner FESTO, a globally recognized German manufacturer, was contracted to supply high-end, industry-grade tools and systems for training centers.

Their inclusion brought world-class expertise to Nigeria’s vocational classrooms.

🔧 FESTO Equipment Includes:
  • Modular mechatronics training systems
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics boards
  • PLC programming units
  • Interactive learning kits for automation
  • Professional instructor training workshops

Digital Innovation in TVET

🥽 Virtual Reality Welding Simulators

To combat material scarcity, training costs, and energy consumption, we introduced VR welding systems into our programs.

💡 Benefits:
  • Trains users in a realistic virtual environment
  • No need for gas, rods, or steel materials
  • Zero emissions, no fire risk
  • 80% reduction in training-related power usage
  • Instant performance feedback and skill analysis
  • Improves precision, safety awareness, and posture control
  • Encourages repeatable practice without waste

Sustainability & Capacity Building

We don’t just build centers — we build ecosystems.

👩🏽‍🏫 What We Provide:
  • Continuous teacher training and onboarding
  • Deployment of gender-inclusive strategies to encourage female participation in male-dominated fields
  • Green and low-power systems to reduce carbon footprint
  • Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems to track graduate outcomes
  • Establishment of internal maintenance departments within schools

Why TVET Matters for Nigeria

With over 70 million youths under age 30, Nigeria’s greatest asset is its people. Yet, only a fraction have access to skill-based, employment-ready education.

At Priscilla Davis TVET, we align our work with:

  • 🇳🇬 Nigeria’s National Development Plan (2021–2025)
  • 🎯 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 & SDG 8)
  • 🔧 Industrialization and Innovation Roadmaps
  • 🌍 AfCFTA integration and regional cooperation

TVET is the bridge between poverty and prosperity. It connects potential to opportunity.
